Ways You Can Promote In-World Events Directly:

TWITTER

  1. When you have an event that you think would be compelling for a broad audience tweet a message to @NPSL and @secondlife so that I can then retweet it. Follow this basic tweet format to give our followers some consistency: @secondlife event title | date | time | Bit.ly SLurl of event or URL to event calendar

For example: @secondlife Dublin's St. Paddy's Day Parade March 17th, 3 PM PST http://bit.ly/axFWje #slevent

FACEBOOK

  1. Become a fan of the SL Facebook Fan page
  2. Share events on the fan wall. Follow same basic format as for Twitter. E.g. event title | date | time | Bit.ly SLurl of event or URL to event calendar
  3. If you have a BIG event that you're ready to showcase, send me, slaton@lindenlab.com, an email with details and we may be able to feature it on the primary wall.
