— TECHSOUP ANNOUNCEMENTS —
[08:39] Rhiannon Chatnoir: Then next we have TechSoup Announcements – bulaklak
[08:40] bulaklak: Happy Friday, all!
[08:40] Larry Massey: Larry M,, I work on Internet technology and, lately, public policy around Internet use
[08:40] Sarvana Haalan: cool
[08:40] bulaklak: Some of you may remember last year we talked about the Restart Romania challenges
[08:40] bulaklak: Can I get a quick shout out for folks who remember that initiative?
[08:41] Gentle HeronGentle Heron remembers the name.
[08:41] Jen: Raises Hand
[08:41] Rhiannon Chatnoir: If you joined us late, please still introduce yourself
[08:41] Sam: rl calls, take care every1 🙂
[08:41] bulaklak: bye sam
[08:41] bulaklak: Okay, great.
[08:42] Oronoque WestlandOronoque Westland must have missed that meeting
[08:42] bulaklak: So these challenges were spearheaded by our partner TechSoup Romania with the idea of crowdourcing ideas to address corruption in the government there
[08:42] bulaklak: It wound up really having legs and generating quite a few interesting projects
[08:42] bulaklak: So this year we are launching round two
[08:43] bulaklak: with the support of the Central and Eastern European Trust for Civil Society, United States Embassies, Microsoft, and a variety of local donors, we are launching challenges in very much the same spirit in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania again, followed, next year by the Balkans.
[08:44] bulaklak: I’m really excited about the expansion of support and watching the idea spread and think some more excellent ideas will come out of this round
[08:44] bulaklak: Read more about it: http://bit.ly/Restart2
[08:45] bulaklak: And perhaps when it’s in full swing we can have Chris Worman from TechSoup Romania come talk to us about some of the neat ideas coming out of the challenge and some of the challenges they face in putting together the challenge
[08:45] bulaklak: that’s a lot of challenge
[08:45] bulaklak: At any rate, that’s what I’ve got for today! Looking forward to the meeting.
[08:45] bulaklak: Enjoy it and your weekends!
[08:46] Rhiannon Chatnoir: thanks bulaklak!
— MENTORS CENTRAL —
[08:46] Rhiannon Chatnoir: now on to Mentors Corner
[08:46] Rhiannon Chatnoir: Today for Mentor Central we have Gentle Heron to speak on “How to Stay Off the Endangered Species List.”. Let’s welcome her up and please start whenever your ready.!
[08:47] Sarvana Haalan: Wooot…. Gentle rocks!!!
[08:47] Oronoque Westland: our typists are at risk so listen carefully
[08:47] Chad Mikado: applause
[08:47] Gentle Heron: Good morning, and welcome to my little pep talk: “How to Stay Off the Endangered Species List.”
[08:47] Gentle Heron: I also call this topic “How to Not Let Your Idea Become Extinct.”
[08:47] Gentle Heron: I think we all know what the Endangered Species List is about. Animals, whole populations of animals, whose numbers are dwindling to the point that they may soon no longer be alive at all.
[08:48] Gentle Heron: You don’t want your idea, your passion, your business, to be on an Endangered Species List.
[08:48] Gentle Heron: Because we all know that if you’re on the Endangered Species list, you’ve already started down the tubes. And getting back OFF the list requires a LOT of effort. It’s best to stay off the list, if you can.
[08:48] Gentle Heron: So, three general rules for keeping your concept from becoming an endangered species:
[08:48] Gentle Heron: 1. Be the “Best in Breed.”
At the Westminster Kennel Club show, the dog chosen as “Best in Breed” is the one most photographed, most talked about, easiest for the general public to recall.
[08:48] Gentle Heron: Have you ever Googled the general category of your idea/business/passion? It’s eye opening. I Googled “abused children support” and got 96,100,000 hits.
[08:49] Gentle Heron: When people are looking for something using Google, how deep do they go? The first page, ten pages? Do you think entry number 96,099,995 on the list I generated gets much traffic?
[08:49] Sarvana Haalan: wow!!!
[08:49] Gentle Heron: It pays for you to be recognized at the top of the list. How to do that? Two ways.
[08:49] Gentle Heron: First is to acquire knowledge. Become an expert. Learn, learn, learn. Learn not only about your own field, but about related fields.
[08:49] Gentle Heron: (I know Sarvana knows this and does it well!)
[08:50] Gentle Heron: Learn the foundations, and some special tips and tricks. Learn who the established experts are. Explore the newest thinking, the cutting edge.
[08:50] Sarvana Haalan: Thanks…
[08:50] Gentle Heron: Second, disseminate what you learn. Be a resource to others. Share what you’ve discovered, the questions you are pondering, the books and articles you’ve read, the presentations you’ve attended.
[08:50] Gentle Heron: These are the two steps toward becoming the best and most recognized in your field. If your project supports abused children, you don’t want to be number 96,099,995 on a Google list.
[08:50] Gentle Heron: 2. Expand your niche.
It’s great to know your place. It’s comfortable there.
[08:51] Gentle Heron: If you are a green tree python, it’s a jungle tree.
[08:51] Gentle Heron: But this isn’t the time to hide, to stay in your comfort zone.
[08:51] Gentle Heron: (not sure I recommend airports though, like the python on the right)
[08:51] Gentle Heron: A bad economic environment is similar to an ecological environment in which resources are becoming limited. In both cases, competition increases for the dwindling resources.
[08:51] Gentle Heron: To survive, to prevent becoming endangered or extinct, get out of your niche and explore. There are more resources out there. Go out and find them and make them your own.
[08:52] Gentle Heron: You will be more visible outside your own niche. That’s a good thing. Now is not the time to hide.
[08:52] Gentle Heron: 3. Get a champion.
[08:52] Gentle Heron: Sure chimpanzees are cute, and we like seeing them in zoos. But wild chimps became a cause célèbre when Jane Goodall brought them to the public eye.
[08:52] Gentle Heron: Do the same for your cause.
[08:53] Gentle Heron: Build a support network. Become part of a community. Find someone who believes in what you do or plan to do.
[08:53] Gentle Heron: We all need someone to invest in our development, support our growth, publicize our progress and successes, and even cover our backs occasionally.
[08:53] Gentle Heron: Jane did that for chimpanzees in the wild. Who can do that for you and your work?
[08:53] Gentle Heron: And there you have it, three steps toward staying off the endangered species list:
[08:53] Gentle Heron: 1. Be the “Best in Breed.”
2. Expand your niche.
3. Get a champion.
[08:53] Gentle Heron: (done!)
[08:54] Sarvana Haalan: Wooot, wooot…. awesome presentation… very timely, Gentle. Thank you!!!!
[08:54] Buffy Beale: cheers! and whispers… Buffy Bye, Bridges for Women, Victoria BC Canada, http://www.bridgesforwomen.ca @bridges4women
[08:54] Svea Morane: Excellent point Gentle
[08:54] Rhiannon Chatnoir: Thanks Gentle for leading Mentor Central today!
[08:54] jacmacaire Humby: Bravo!!
[08:54] Oronoque Westland: wonderful tips!
[08:54] Andy Evans: Excellent!
[08:54] bulaklak: Great tips!
[08:54] Tank Thibedeau: GENTLE !!!!
[08:54] Tank Thibedeau: hooo rah
[08:54] Ozma Malibu: Thank you Gentle!
[08:55] Rhiannon Chatnoir: I love Gentle’s presentations 🙂
[08:55] Buffy Beale: so do I!
[08:55] bulaklak: Finding the time to do more industry reading is one of the hardest ones for me, but I know it’s necessary! Thanks for the reminder, Gentle!
[08:55] Rhiannon Chatnoir: yes
[08:55] Carl Solutionary: Can I add something… ? 1. Teach a class… the teacher is instantly recognized as the expert… 2. Write an article… then use it as a marketing tool… 3. Use social networks avidly
[08:55] Rhiannon Chatnoir: I like the teaching aspect
[08:56] Buffy Beale: good points as well Carl
[08:56] bulaklak: Teaching also forces you to know the material really, really well
[08:56] bulaklak: (And you learn from your students!)
[08:56] Gentle Heron: Another quick way to stay abreast is news summary sites such as: http://www.linkedin.com/today/se/editorspicks
[08:56] Rhiannon Chatnoir: great
[08:57] Rhiannon Chatnoir: and always amazing wisdom from Gentle – thanks
[08:57] Oronoque Westland: learning about RSS feeds really helps you keep up with your topic
— FEATURED PRESENTER —
[08:57] Rhiannon Chatnoir: Time for today’s main speaker 🙂
[08:57] Rhiannon Chatnoir: Welcome Jacques Macaire (jacmacaire Humby in SL), who will speak to us about the nonprofit HUMANBE he founded and the work HUMANBE has done in Second Life as a long-time member organization of the NonProfit Commons.
[08:57] Larry Massey: look up “Search Engine Optimization” (SEO); there are technical things you can do to make yourself noticed, used by most marketing organizations
[08:57] Rhiannon Chatnoir: Jacques – please come up and grab a seat in front – great
[08:58] Rhiannon Chatnoir: feel free to start when ready
[08:58] jacmacaire Humby: Thank you..
[08:58] jacmacaire Humby: Hi everyone,
[08:58] Buffy Beale: cheering for you jac!
[08:58] jacmacaire Humby: Before I begin, I would like to ask you due to the difficulty of language, and in case you want to ask me questions, if you could do it after my speech, or by email or IM..
[08:58] Gentle HeronGentle Heron waves encouragingly to Jacques.
[08:58] jacmacaire Humby: Thank you, it will be gentle.. I hope you don’t mind..
[08:59] jacmacaire Humby: So.. Thank you for you invitation, and congratulation to the organizers for all the work they do to prepare each week this friday’s meeting..
[08:59] Jen: Yayy Jac
[08:59] jacmacaire Humby: Thank you also to TechSoup, for allowing us to be present in the NPC and now in ECO COMMONS to experiment new solutions for a better world…
[08:59] jacmacaire Humby: I want to thank, since a long time, also Dick and Corine who introduce me to the construction at our arrival, a few years ago,
[08:59] jacmacaire Humby: and also the other like Gli, Zinnia, Buffy, Chayenn, Gentle, Busy, and many others that I probably forget, with whom we shared a wonderful time..
[08:59] jacmacaire Humby: Without you, we would not have been able to experience what the virtuality could bring to an organization like ours…
[08:59] Coughran Mayo: 🙂
[08:59] jacmacaire Humby: I’m happy to see that things are moving in the NPC, and I’m happy to make our modest contribution, hoping that it will be useful for the future..
[09:00] jacmacaire Humby: For those, who don’t know me, I’m Jacques Macaire, responsible of the ACTION TANK on Sustainable Development called HUMANBE..
[09:00] jacmacaire Humby: After having participated for over 20 years, to the growth of many design firms,
[09:00] jacmacaire Humby: I met in 1995, a group of friends in Paris to discuss opportunities to put the human at the center of our concerns..
[09:00] jacmacaire Humby: We then decided to take up the challenge by creating HUMANBE, which is a non-profit association,
[09:00] jacmacaire Humby: and borrowed as a symbol of our visual identity, the human,
thus affirming our reference and our loyalty to humanity.
[09:01] jacmacaire Humby: So, as you know, we can no longer ignore this reality.. The world with the wonders that it contains is unfortunately not expandable..
[09:01] jacmacaire Humby: And to leave Earth to colonize Mars or other galaxies is not yet possible.. for now…
[09:02] jacmacaire Humby: So, we have no other choice than to So, we have no other choice than to do with this world and its limits..
This means that we need to start an inventory of what we have.. The system has reached its limits..
[09:02] jacmacaire Humby: So welcome to a world where we can help you to anticipate future developments and project yourself in the best possible future…
[09:02] jacmacaire Humby: Welcome to a world where we will imagine together, create together, and put the human at the heart of our concerns…
Welcome to a world where we’ll dream together about what the world will be tomorrow…
[09:03] jacmacaire Humby: We lived in the myth of progress and growth during the last centuries.
[09:03] jacmacaire Humby: It started with coal and fossil fuels that took a direction in which we should never have taken..
[09:03] jacmacaire Humby: The two world wars, with the appearance of the aircraft and telecommunications, have accelerated the movement..
[09:03] jacmacaire Humby: Then we glorified the culture of speed, the exact time, the travel, and finally the economic liberalism, has led us to relocate our industry, our agriculture, and even our services..
[09:03] jacmacaire Humby: Today, our linear mode, ie the extraction, processing and disposal of raw materials has led to millions of businesses consume resources without replacing them.
[09:03] jacmacaire Humby: We take in a capital that we believe infinite and free, but in reality, we lived in the illusion of abundance..
[09:04] jacmacaire Humby: Profitability requirements, globalization and the law of the financial markets have led those who were still employed, to suffer a reduction in wages.
[09:04] jacmacaire Humby: A spiral that led to a real crisis of solidarity with the companies..
[09:04] jacmacaire Humby: Humans eventually become nothing more than a cost factor, whose value is determined by an exchange dominated by financiers
[09:04] jacmacaire Humby: who are trying to get rid of all social constraint in the name of competitiveness, and who have only a short-term vision.
[09:04] jacmacaire Humby: Everywhere, it’s clear that things are not going well, and that our industry is about to exhaust our planet.
[09:05] jacmacaire Humby: The Greed blinds our industry. It is urgent to realize that the overall cost of accidents exceed about 20 times the costs of prevention..
[09:05] jacmacaire Humby: A figure that should make us realize that it is urgent to completely change the method..
[09:05] jacmacaire Humby: A new vision of the world is about to be done..
[09:05] jacmacaire Humby: ll indicates that the time has come to change on many aspects, and to anchor our work in the long term, to develop a common vision for the future.
[09:06] jacmacaire Humby: The human arrived at a stage of its evolution, where the law of the strongest can no longer exist, because it generates so many human and ecological disasters, that it will eventually destroy us.
[09:06] jacmacaire Humby: It is true that the pressure for inaction, is still strong, and many skeptics see only a fad or a fashion.
[09:06] jacmacaire Humby: But Sustainability, is more than a fad..
[09:06] jacmacaire Humby: This is primarily a tool that provides answers which require us to make choices of companies, and especially by putting the people at the heart of our 3 main concerns : the economy, the society and the environment.
[09:07] jacmacaire Humby: In all cases, if there is one thing on which we can be sure is that we can no longer afford to work on our own.
[09:07] jacmacaire Humby: It is only together that we can change the world. It is time, therefore, to initiate a collective dynamics, by bringing together all those who wish to address the challenges.
[09:07] jacmacaire Humby: The unite, this is the only possible choice…
[09:07] jacmacaire Humby: The human must become the center of our concerns, and our most important to act quickly.
[09:07] jacmacaire Humby: Climate change is the result of what we have not done to understand the other…
[09:07] jacmacaire Humby: The way the world manages the human today has a direct effect on climate change for a large part of our humanity.
[09:07] jacmacaire Humby: It is not too late to change…
[09:08] jacmacaire Humby: The world lacks neither of financial resources nor of technological capabilities to ensure a better quality of life for all. It is only necessary to act now.
[09:08] jacmacaire Humby: The current financial system often determines the direction of our society, considering that the waste and the ephemeral are engines of growth,
and more resistant to objects that can harm the consumer.
[09:08] jacmacaire Humby: They are wrong. Overconsumption causes not only environmental issues, but also social and economic…
[09:08] jacmacaire Humby: The world lacks neither the financial resources nor the technological capabilities to ensure a better quality of life.
[09:09] jacmacaire Humby: This requires to start taking risks, even on projects that seem uncertain..
[09:09] jacmacaire Humby: We need a burst of creativity and human ingenuity to avert this curse, that we are suffering..
[09:09] jacmacaire Humby: We have no other choice than to rely on our ability to imagine new future..
Our future is not irreversible, and we can all affect it…
[09:09] jacmacaire Humby: At HUMANBE, we strongly believe in the power of human imagination..
[09:09] jacmacaire Humby: We believe that our future isn’t irreversible, and that we can all influence on it.
[09:09] jacmacaire Humby: So, we therefore begin to explore new ideas for the future of our humanity..
[09:10] jacmacaire Humby: and begin to see which was the most pressing problems,
[09:10] jacmacaire Humby: and have initiated several projects in the diffrent areas which seemed for us the most important :
[09:10] jacmacaire Humby: 1. HOUSING
2. TRANSPORTATION and VIRTUAL LIFE
3. CONSUMPTION AND ENERGY USED
4. CO-OPERATION AND UNION BETWEEN HUMAN
5. HUMANOPOLE (Eco-Village) with PY1 (Protect yourself)
[09:10] jacmacaire Humby: ETC…
[09:11] jacmacaire Humby: Today, we are going to explain 2 projects :
[09:11] jacmacaire Humby: 1. WHY TO BUILD A HOUSE WHICH RESISTS TO HURRICANES AND TSUNAMIS and HOW TO BUILD AN ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND ECO-POSITIVE HOUSE THAT PRODUCES MORE ENERGY THAN IT CONSUMES?
[09:11] jacmacaire Humby: Here are the different links that will help you to understand our project, without disclosing confidential :
[09:11] jacmacaire Humby: http://www.changemakers.com/fr/node/98645
http://youtu.be/NRhtRcxDayc http://youtu.be/0_lTSe3XbXE
[09:12] jacmacaire Humby: Our ECO-POSITIVE HOUSE aims to produce a building self-sufficient in energy, which can be built at lower cost, and with carbon neutral.
[09:12] jacmacaire Humby: This unit of positive energy will show, while maintaining a modern comfort, that we can save our energy consumption to the point of being able to sell it…
[09:12] jacmacaire Humby: The cheapest energy is what we DON’T PAY..
[09:12] jacmacaire Humby: That is why before thinking about thermal comfort, the key is to build good habitat from the beginning, providing isolation of at least 40 centimeters,
[09:12] jacmacaire Humby: dual ventilation system and to take into account the orientation and sunshine. For our part, we use a renewable energy system based on solar and wind.
[09:13] jacmacaire Humby: HUMANBE designed this eco-unit building to make it totally flexible and can be installed on all types of soil.
[09:13] jacmacaire Humby: The advantage of this construction lies in the assembly on site.
[09:13] CarynTopia Silvercloud: I am so happy to see this information on building a house that generates more energy than it consumes
[09:13] jacmacaire Humby: This eco-construction unit will be entirely prefabricated and can be recycled, allowing rapid construction site, dust free and secure.
[09:13] jacmacaire Humby: The unit may be disassembled and the parts reusable, in order to limit the impact on the environment.
[09:13] jacmacaire Humby: Our goal is to demonstrate that it is possible to create a concept that will be :
[09:14] jacmacaire Humby: ENVIRONMENTAL through energy independence, and its design that takes into account the life cycle of products, manufacturing processes and materials used
[09:14] jacmacaire Humby: ECONOMICALLY VIABLE AND COMFORTABLE with the possibility of selling her positive energy and insulation very well studied, and whose investment cost is very affordable (less than 2000 dollars/M2)
[09:14] jacmacaire Humby: SOCIALLY tailored to individual needs and accessible to first-time buyers, people with disabilities and low-income seniors.
[09:14] jacmacaire Humby: The implementation is simple, fast and without drying time, and reduces by half the time construction
[09:14] jacmacaire Humby: Steel has many advantages in the field of eco-construction ::
[09:15] jacmacaire Humby: It requires little maintenance and is effectively protected against corrosion
[09:15] jacmacaire Humby: It is recyclable, thanks to its magnetic qualities
[09:15] jacmacaire Humby: It uses less material and allows for very light structures with a large expanse of glass, while a high strength high strength against natural disasters..
[09:15] jacmacaire Humby: The construction sites are clean and dry (as opposed to the matrix so-called “wet”)
[09:16] jacmacaire Humby: THE SECOND PROJECT IS CONCERNING THE PROBLEM OF OUR CONSUMPTION TODAY.
[09:16] jacmacaire Humby: To understand what we are going to say, you could see the Video of “Story of Stuff” http://youtu.be/9GorqroigqM concerning the way our products are made
[09:16] jacmacaire Humby: Because we arrived at a stage in our evolution where we need to change the economic model, and lay a new foundation,
[09:16] jacmacaire Humby: and it is time to invent new forms of action to determine the economic, environmental and social consequences of what we buy.
[09:16] jacmacaire Humby: We all have the power to change the world, and the main mission of ECCOPLANET will help you to get there.
[09:17] jacmacaire Humby: We must realize that the power is in our hands. To the consumerism of today, we prefer the consom’action..
[09:17] jacmacaire Humby: The responsible consumption should compel recognition, showing that with our money, we want to take into account a Sustainable Development..
[09:17] jacmacaire Humby: ECCOPLANET’s mission is to inspire the world to meet the challenges and unite around practical solutions
[09:17] jacmacaire Humby: HUMANBE has the ambition to decipher the impact that products have on our daily lives,
[09:17] jacmacaire Humby: and act to promote an economic system that will benefit the entire human community,
[09:18] jacmacaire Humby: offering an ECO-LABEL that will allow us to know exactly what you buy.. Out with the principle of current standards,
[09:18] jacmacaire Humby: it will give a full and comprehensible information for all of the life cycle of the product or service.
[09:18] jacmacaire Humby: The theory of change is simple.
[09:18] jacmacaire Humby: The objective of ECCOPLANET is to highlight positive initiatives
[09:18] jacmacaire Humby: and to make it public through the network in a manner enthusiastic, non-political and collective.
[09:18] jacmacaire Humby: Only signatories have the right to use the logo ECCOPLANET, so they can show their work and share their commitment.
[09:19] jacmacaire Humby: Those wishing to adopt must simply answer to 10 questions on 4 topics.
[09:19] jacmacaire Humby: They can do it gradually, with 3 levels, ranging from current activities to those who respect our principles..
[09:19] jacmacaire Humby: Awareness of belonging to the same planet is in the process of growing, and we are currently realize more and more on how interdependent we are..
[09:19] jacmacaire Humby: To create a more humane world is not science fiction.. Create a more humane world is not science fiction..
[09:19] jacmacaire Humby: Today there are solutions that can be implemented tomorrow..
[09:20] jacmacaire Humby: We have many projects to start up..

[09:24] Rhiannon Chatnoir: any questions for Jacques
[09:24] jacmacaire Humby: 🙂
[09:25] Buffy Beale: Question: Jac, how does HUMANBE use Second Life?
[09:25] CarynTopia Silvercloud: It sounds like you have very carefully planned the cradle to cradle aspects of design, are you considering the nontoxic aspects as well?
[09:25] Dancers Yao: Thank you for caring about human rights…great work
[09:25] Gentle Heron: QUESTION- Jacques, how does HUMANBE use TechSoup resources?
[09:25] jacmacaire Humby: Yes it is part of one of the 4 point of ECCOPLANET
[09:26] jacmacaire Humby: We would like to go ore further with Second Life to improve the virtual aspect..
[09:26] Larry Massey: I’ve been enjoying https://class.coursera.org/sustain-2012-001/class/index a free online course on sustainability… the reading list and video lectures are great, and you don’t have to ‘enroll’ to enjoy them. The class has been going on for 6 weeks. No SL outpost that i see, though
[09:27] Rhiannon Chatnoir: there are some amazing Coursera and Udacity courses.. and that sounds like a good one
[09:27] Jen: QUESTION-Do you have a presence in any other countries?
[09:27] jacmacaire Humby: and to organize ECO COMMONS, if we could..
[09:27] jacmacaire Humby: virtual or real?
[09:28] jacmacaire Humby: conserning the presence..
[09:28] jacmacaire Humby: Jen?
[09:28] Rhiannon Chatnoir: maybe speak to both
[09:28] Jen: Yes do you have an office in other countries?
[09:29] jacmacaire Humby: we are in France, but right now we are going to work closer with PY1 (Protect yourself) concerning a project of Eco-Community..
[09:29] jacmacaire Humby: First virtual and after in real..
[09:29] jacmacaire Humby: Eco-village using a meta money, per example..
[09:30] jacmacaire Humby: We are international, and Second Life helps us for that..
[09:31] Rhiannon Chatnoir: any last questions?
[09:31] jacmacaire Humby: We have no office.. We are working as teamwork when we make a project..
[09:31] Ozma Malibu: Here in Arizona we have Soleri’s Arcosanti project – I wish you could visit while he is still alive –
[09:32] Ozma Malibu: You’d like it, Jacques.
[09:32] jacmacaire Humby: Why not, if I come in US.. but I take care of my depense of CO2 with the travel..
[09:32] Rhiannon Chatnoir: nod
[09:33] Rhiannon Chatnoir: Lets thank Jacques for speaking to us today!
[09:33] jacmacaire Humby: It is why where are also in Second Life..
[09:33] Andy Evans: Thanks.. a lot to think about
[09:33] Jen: ********APPPLLLAAAUUUSSSEEE********
[09:33] jacmacaire Humby: to use less CO2 for meetings..
[09:33] jacmacaire Humby: thank you all.. 🙂
[09:33] Rhiannon Chatnoir: great
[09:33] Jen: My last travel was on the train
[09:33] Buffy Beale: thanks Jac, what a wonderful thing you and your team are doing
[09:33] Gentle Heron: Thanks Jacques, your passion shows.
[09:33] Ozma Malibu: I have heard that after Soleri is gone, the project will be built out as he designed it, but with a golf course condos etc etc so visiting now would be better. The workshops last a week and are inexpensive and you help build. You could take a freighter?
[09:34] jacmacaire Humby: Come to visit us when you want..
