Creating Virtual Museum Environments for the March 28th NonProfit Commons Meeting

Friday, March 28th, TechSoup’s NonProfit Commons in Second Life meeting will feature Joe Rigby (Pontefractal in Second Life), who will discuss using virtual worlds to create virtual museum experiences.

Joe is co-founder of MellaniuM (http://mellanium13.blogspot.ca), a developer of immersive environment content for the AVAYALIVE ENGAGE platform. They have recently developed a virtual museum using photorealistic textures generated by photogrammetry and 3d objects created from laser scanned items from the Usher gallery of the Lincoln museum in the UK.
