Join us Friday, July 7th for the NonProfit Commons in Second Life meeting, which will feature Dr. Valerie Hill (Valibrarian in Second Life) and members of the CVL – Community Virtual Library. Learn about how virtual world communities can be viewed as “resources” and shared in an online database. Come learn how to share YOUR favorite virtual world communities and immersive learning spaces.
The Community Virtual Library has been the main HUB for libraries and librarians in Second Life for a decade. Now, CVL is expanding to other worlds with the goal of connecting virtual communities as “resources” to share with learners along with landmarks to immersive learning environments. CVL is partnering with New Media Arts, Inc and will soon migrate to a new website. The current website with a calendar of events can be found at http://www.infoisland.org/.
