Touring cybaLOUNGE Browser-Based Virtual World for the May 25th Nonprofit Commons Meeting

Join us Friday, May 25th for the NonProfit Commons in Second Life meeting, which will feature Dieter Heyne (Edward Tarber in Second Life) who will discuss web-based virtual worlds, and host a tour of several spaces within the cybaLOUNGE web-based virtual world.


Dieter Heyne is a Computer Scientist, Software Architect, Virtual World Creator, and Metaverse traveler who has spent the last three years developing cybaLOUNGE, a web browser based virtual world.

  • we will get a chance to tour a nonprofit meeting area in cybaLOUNGE, a 3D virtual world running entirely in your browser, which allows you to explore different locations, meet people, talk, and listen to music, presentations, or watch a movie. 


The mission of the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life is to create a community for nonprofits to explore and learn about virtual worlds, foster connections, and discover the many ways in which nonprofits might utilize the unique environment of Second Life to achieve their missions.
