Grant Seeking for Virtual World Nonprofits for February 7th Nonprofit Commons meeting
join us Friday, February 7 at the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life for “Grant Seeking for Virtual World Nonprofits” with Alyse M. Dunavant-Jones, an independent Digital Curation / Asset Management Consultant and Assistant Director for the Community Virtual Library, a project under the 501(c)(3) nonprofit New Media Arts, Inc.
Grants are a Nonprofit’s best friend. In fact, many funders only invest in nonprofits and their projects. So why are grants so elusive for virtual world-based nonprofits? Based on her experience grant seeking for the Community Virtual Library, Alyse will explain challenges for virtual world nonprofits, the types of information funders expect, project-types that appeal to funders, and steps to take before grant seeking. Alyse will also share free resources for grant seeking and writing.
Join us in Second Life!
