Immersive Learning made Interactive in SL for the April 6th NPC Meeting
Join us Friday, April 6th for the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life meeting, which will feature Laura Jeffcoat (Lowry Mills in Second Life) leading a tour of the Learn It Town sim and a chance to see how it is made interactive for students.
Laura Jeffcoat is the CEO of Learn It Town, a developer of Immersive learning for the Learn It Town team. They have the Learn It Town sim in Second Life and teach ESL learners from SKODA and other individuals and schools. Lowri is from Texas, living in Spain. She was a pioneer in immersive learning starting back in 2006 with Languagelab.com as a developer.

Learning from Mistakes for the March 30th NPC Meeting
Join us Friday, March 30th for the NonProfit Commons in Second Life meeting, which will feature Niela Miller (Marly Milena in Second Life) leading a discussion on mistakes. We all make them. Let’s take a look at some of the usual and unusual ones and what we can learn from them, and lessons we HAVE learned, both in our personal and our work lives.
Please come to the meeting with a short example on a notecard of a mistake you have made, and what you learned from it. We will share these at the session.

Instead of our normal Nonprofit Commons Friday Morning Meeting, we have a field trip March 16, 8-10 AM to Sojourner Auditorium, Virtual Ability for Labor Tech Discussion with Tom Boellstorff and Winifred Poster
