Arch Virtual and Tipodean at the Nonprofit Commons this Friday February 17

We at the Nonprofit Commons are delighted to welcome two innovators in the virtual world space this Friday, February 17, Jon Brouchoud of Arch Virtual and Chris Collins of Tipodean Technologies. They will talk about the cool technologies they have developed to bring virtual worlds to new audiences and markets, like a senior retirement community and an Iowa city. Join us for this very interesting conversation about virtual architecture, customer-created design, and virtual / real cities.

That’s this Friday February 17, starting at 8:30am PT at the Nonprofit Commons Amphitheater.

More details….

Jon Brouchoud is owner of Arch Virtual, which specializes in architectural simulations and conceptual development of realtime 3D environments. Jon has a Master’s Degree and more than 10 years of experience working in the architecture and virtual worlds.

Chris Collins is the CEO and Founder of Tipodean Technologies, a company focused on virtual technologies. Prior to founding Tipodean, Chris worked at Linden Lab (creator of Second Life), where he co-started the enterprise team.

They will introduce some of their recent projects, including Customer-Created Design, where senior citizens were recently able to help design their own retirement facility using Second Life as a realtime collaboration tool, as well as Tipodean’s ‘Converter’ technology that can bring OpenSim content into Unity3D. They will also talk about a new platform they teamed up to developed, called ArchTech Engine, which transforms buildings, cities and geography into realtime 3D environments.
