This Friday, April 26th at 8:30AM PST, Nonprofit Commons in Second Life will attend as a community Virtual Ability’s Mental Health Symposium 2019 event.
The theme of this Symposium is “Mental Health in the 21st Century: Digital Destruction or Support?” Our international group of presenters will offer a wide interpretation of the theme, based on their interests and academic backgrounds.
The Symposium will being at 8:30AM PST and take place in Virtual Ability’s Sojourner Auditorium, on Virtual Ability island. The SLurl for the auditorium is: Sojourner Auditorium, Virtual Ability Island.
The Virtual Ability community hosts this annual Symposium to share information about mental health and mental disabilities with the general population. Within our cross-disability community we have members who deal with a variety of mental health issues.

Embark on a hypergrid adventure and poker run to visit two OpenSimulator hosted Hypergrid Resource Libraries in development on the Kitely and Avacon grids with Bethany Winslow, Project Lead for CVL’s Hypergrid Resources Library; and Valerie Hill / Valibrarian, Director, Community Virtual Library.

This Friday, April 5th at 8:30 AM PDT/SLT we will be meeting at Nonprofit Commons Amphitheater in Second Life then heading over to the 12th Annual Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Conference for the Keynote with Dr. Tuncer Can at 9:00 AM SLT.
Tuncer Can is no stranger to the vLanguages community, a VWBPE 2019 partner. His most recent collaboration with vLanguages is GUINEVERE, an EU Commission funded language learning project. An exploration of the GUINEVERE project in OpenSim will be offered as an Immersive Experience after the conference.
