This Friday, March 7th, TechSoup’s NonProfit Commons in Second Life meeting will feature Janette Nacilla (Jan Avi Ray in Second Life) and the Drive-Through ESL project, that is part of the virtual English Second Language School. Drive-Through ESL is one of the many organizations in Second Life that help international students learn English as their second language.
Jan Avi Ray (Janette Nacilla) is a Medical Technologist working under the Ministry of Heath of Saudi Arabia, both a student of the Drive-Through ESL an English Language School and a member of the Drive-Through ESL Help Team. She is also a member of Virtual Ability and Second Life’s Cure Chasers. SL’s Cure Chasers is a group formed to support Relay for Life in Second Life. This group is open to anyone who wants to participate in the Relay for Life in SL campaign.

The mission of the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life is to create a community for nonprofits to explore and learn about virtual worlds, foster connections, and discover the many ways in which nonprofits might utilize the unique environment of Second Life to achieve their missions.
