Feed a Smile is a Second Life charity project for Live & Learn in Kenya Int’l – English Page. Brique will share about this virtual space that makes a difference in the real world.

Community Virtual Library (CVL) Hypergrid Resource Library Tour for August 9th NPC Meeting

Please join us on Friday, August 9th at 8:30 AM SLT for the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life Meeting we will feature Valibrarian / Valerie Hill leading us on a tour of the Community Virtual Library (CVL) Hypergrid Resource Library in AvaCon Inc. or Kitely Grid. The vision with this project is to help educators new to OpenSim learn about what hypergridding is so they can connect to educational communities across multiple virtual worlds.

Digital Storytelling – Achievement and Recognition for the May 10th Nonprofit Commons Meeting

This Friday, May 10th, Nonprofit Commons in Second Life will feature Renne Emiko Brock / Zinnia Zauber is sharing her Digital Storytelling lesson “A Feather in Your Cap – Achievement and Recognition” about motivation, awards, and rewards. 
 
Renne is an artist and multimedia professor at Peninsula College and she has taught her coursework in Second Life for 11 years. She states, “Imparting knowledge and acknowledgment is vital for encouraging curiosity and confidence in students.” and presented this at the 2019 Virtual Worlds: Best Practices in Education to inspire educators.
